About the event
This is a great opportunity to get the whole family doing some hands on foody fun. Â Hannah from Gut Feelings Kombucha will be showing us a traditional technique for fermenting vegetables, making sauerkraut. Â Not only do you learn a new skill together, but you get to take home your handmade sauerkruat to enjoy for days to come!
Studieshave shown that regular consumption of fermented vegetables continues can be beneficial for your gut health, which has a general overall effect on your overall health and wellbeing. Â As well as the health benefits, fermentation is an amazing preservation technique and allows us to make our food that we've bought or grown extend it's edible shelf life. Â In Scotland we can have a much shorter growing season that other areas, therefore being able to make the most of what we grow and let nothing go to waste is good for us and the planet.Â
Hannah is a wealth of  knowledge on all things microbial when it comes to fermentation and how this links to our gut health, this is a relaxed environement and you will be able to asks Hannah any questions while you ferment!
