About the event

Learn what there is to forage in the season of Summer!   Beginners foraging and ancestral skills - greens, flowers, fruits, trees and "weeds".

This Foraging Walk is along Irishman's Point in Broadford, this is a chance to see that area in a whole new way.  To have your senses hightened to what is foragable around us, to taste and sample things along the way and enjoy a wild tea too.

Jemima Hall is an artist and student/teacher of ancestral skills based in Scotland where she provides her foraging and WildCraft workshops. She encourages people of all ages to reconnect to their natural surroundings through art, craft and play whilst being educated on local plants, wild foods and elements of bushcraft. Jemima seeks to regain a knowledge of ancestral skills through play, survival and intuition with what material is there, provided by the landscapes in each of the seasons. Her art practice is a record of her time spent in intimate interactions with wild natural landscapes. She captures this interaction through sculpture, visual poetry and performative art.

We love foraging walks to really find connection to the nature that surrounds us.  This walk is accessible to most walking levels.
