About the event

Mel will guide you through the forest to help relaxation, relieve stress and invite happiness by connecting with the natural world.

Forest bathing focuses on slowing down, using techniques such as mindfulness and meditation,  Mel also offers invitations which are ways to help us connect to our senses and deepen our links to our environment. There will be opportunities for sharing thoughts or how we are experiencing the forest and an opportunity to draw or write poetry if that is something that feels right.

Forest bathing doesn't have anything to do with bathing in water, but instead is an opportunity to use our senses so that we move out of our heads and into our bodies by tapping into our senses and simply spending concious time in nature. This is a great way to tune into the rhythms and seasons of nature, this is the first in a series of sessions taking us thorugh the year.  The walk through the forest will be slow and won't be physically demanding, in total you can expect to walk roughly 1 mile, there will be multiple stops to take in the surrounding nature and there is time to enjoy a hot tea which will be provided on the experience.
