Yoga can often be portrayed as difficult inversions fit only for those in their 20's, however, the philosophy, breathing techniques and gentle movement can be very restorative at any age.
This class is led by Kirsty McNamara from McNamaste and will provide a calm and gentle space to practise gentle yoga. Alongside the yoga there will also be time to chat and enjoy a hot drink, The Selkie Collective feels very passionately about making time to connect with each other, and meet other women living in the community.
All equipment and hot drinks are provided.
Below are some words from Kirsty about her experience and classes;
Hello, I’m Kirsty and I’ve been teaching yoga for seven years. I am very passionate about the benefits of yoga and bodywork and the positive effect it can have on our lives.
In my classes I aim to cultivate a safe, supportive, and nurturing space; somewhere we feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable and open to the energetic shift that we can create by doing the practice.
I believe that there is so much more to yoga than just aimlessly stretching. There’s the obvious tangible effect on our physical body from moving and breathing. But it’s also about the community we build by going to a regular class and the act of giving ourself some focused time and attention, which could be exactly what we need to flip our perspective of life around. xx
